When we landed at the airport in Inagua (which is literally a long landing strip with a small parking space for aircraft) there were two immaculate DC-3's sitting on the runway, who left a minute or two after we had landed in our teeny six-seater Piper. The first flight of the DC-3 was in 1935, so the technology is hardly... modern. Despite their immaculate appearance, I think I'd feel a little nervous flying on one. |
